Yusuf's Steak Pizza Pasta

Weil am Rhein is a dull little town with limited dining options, especially on a Monday when everything else is shut. You can get a really good kebab if you don’t mind chowing down on dead gangster but a Monday night visit to Yusufs was...appalling, despite expectations to the contrary. I spied a glimpse of the chef during our meal and he looked more like an MMA cage fighter than a cook, but after the catastrophe that emerged from his kitchen, violence is probably the right descriptor. Seafood pasta decorated by the detritus of an obvious explosion in a Balkan seafood waste processing facility, feld salat that was butchered, over salted, drowning in vinegar, house red wine you wouldn’t serve to a condemned Albanian paedophile, and a basket of bread that was pizza offcuts pummelled I’m sure by the same ham fisted indifference that plated everything else up. Utterly appalling and shockingly overpriced for the quality of fayre presented. What a shame. Unless you’re starving and desperate, avoid this shake and bake catastrophe. Right next door is Galileo, run by Yusuf’s estranged brother. I know. Very West Virginia. Anyway Galileo next door is very good with a proper chef who actually cares. If you survive the botchelism and indifference on the menu at Yusuf’s, give his brother a try right next door

We stopped by last Saturday. Upon arrival the waitress told us (before saying "hello "we only have Pizza, Pasta and Salad, but no meat dishes at this time of the day. OK. So we sat down and had a look. The waitress then kind of...rushed us to make a decision. The place was virtually empty, so no reason for rushing from my point of view. If you like the rougher type of charme, you'd be getting along with the waitress very well. We ordered Rigatoni and a mixes salad with stripes of Turkey meat. The food arrived more or less on the spot with boiled to death Rigatoni sided with a completely tasteless sauce and a little bit of spinach. The mixed salad was a green salad with a handful of grated carrot and a ready-to-serve dressing, probably from a liter container. While we ate, the TV set on the terrace was turned on, because of a World Cup soccer game. At a volume that safeguarded that all the neighbors metres down the road would not miss a detail of the game. All in all: Underwhelming food and a questionable approach to service. If this is the number one place in Weil then you should not consider Weil for food at all

After our first visit, we were impressed so decided to come back. visit on Aug Found this place while driving around and saw their american beef menu which looks pretty interesting (they even list a tomahawk But since we arrived around meat menu doesnt statt until so we ordered some pasta. Food came out very quick and hot. Good flavor and good service. Definitely tastes house made. Large portions were filling. Would recommend! Visit on Sep After our first visit, we were very impressed and decided to try it again. I decided to go for what they were advertising, their T Bone steak and my wife got the Pesto penne pasta. The restaurant was extremely busy so we knew it would be a wait. Everyones food that came out looked awesome so we were excited. When the food finally came, presentation was great, however that was it. The penne pasta taste was off. Just tasted like tons of butter. The t bone was the biggest disappointment. The steak was tough and looked like it was cooked frozen, even though the waitress denied it was frozen, i can cleaely tell it was. Also I ordered it medium rare, it came out medium well

They are good at everything they do. Pizzas are excellent. Yusuf has excellent steaks. You may get tired of his green beans, served with most of his dishes, but they are excellent. And the staff are excelllent

The food is delicious and the stuff is friendly. Their cheesecake is one of the best I ever ate! Also the prices are very fair
