Xulos - Reservar uma mesa

My partner I had a paella dinner and dessert. The paella had an excessive amount of salt which made an average meal worse. The dessert tiramisu for me was decent. The place was pleasant enough and the waitress was very kind. We had a very disturbing experience concerning the waiter at the end of our time there. When I left the table for a short time the waiter quizzed my partner several intrusive and personal questions which he cowardly did not do when I was present. My partner only told me this afterwards otherwise I would have confronted the waiter. (I will email the restaurant and inform them of this). This incident spoilt pour time there.

We happened to be in Pensicola at the time of an octopus festival so it seemed a shame not to join in. Of the three restaurants we tried, this is the only one I could be bothered to review (the others were fine, but nothing special). Xulos served up really creative, beautifully cooked versions of octopus classics. We also had other seafood for a light lunch, and that too was lovely. Service was excellent unobtrusive, helpful, friendly. Prices are average for the area and therefore relatively good value. Booking strongly advised.

Our Airbnb host recommended this restaurant but warned us we had to book. We were glad we did. We had the seafood paella and seafood platter. The food was extraordinary. We speak very little Spanish so navigating menus is often tricky, the staff were so kind and helpful, they made us feel welcome. It was such a treat. I wish we could go back!

Xulos awaits with great seafood, fresh fish, in a friendly warm atmosphere, all was excellent, a restaurant where you wiill return.
