it started to rain quite strongly so we decided to eat something earlier. wjelbik was right around the corner and as it had received quite enthusiastic critiken, we wanted to try it out too. that was a really good decision precision only with high-quality raw materials and yet sorbic traditions let me think I am quite close to beautiful modern note, the coating was really nice and everything tasteful was in perfect harmonie. my wife took her interpretation of the traditional Sorbian soup and with perfectly poched egg in the bowl it was really good. as an appetizer I took traditional bark and my wife gordon bleu from the calf. both were just excellent. juicy, perfectly seasoned, served with fresh, perfectly steamed vegetables. traditional savory sauce with rolade was simply incredible. I found that eating in traditional large restaurants in Germany usually means quite heavy and something too fat eating, and especially salt is also used ... well ... generous if they like. not here. everything perfectly seasoned. the portions were a little big, so we had only espresso as desserts. the coffee was excellent and it was served with a small cube of lemon cheesecake, which was really a cube (no bread intended) the prices were good and if you take into account the price-performance ratio, wjelbik really offers a good value for money? .as I said, do not seek further, highly recommended. I'll go back there when in Bautzen.
