Goods on 03.06. on the occasion of a musical visit 2 hours before the performance to the fifth in the host house in the lake. My friend had pre-ordered by phone, we also stood in the reservation book, but without a table – then we spontaneously got a table. The restaurant was well visited, both indoors and outdoors, and we assumed that 95% of the guests are as well as theatre visitors as we would pay between 13.30 and 13.45 h and leave the restaurant again. The drinks – two of us were already there before and had already ordered before – came after approx. 20 minutes waiting time, but then all drinks ordered together... The food we ordered shortly after serving the drinks: twice carving, once bread, once salad with goat cheese and once curry sausage with fries and blue herbs. After only 20 minutes the salad came.... after another 15 minutes the rest of the food came. I can't! The salad was ok, also bread plates, the pommes at the carvings were lukewarm. The “Wurzelwurst” was, however, a real derailment. About the composition Bratwurst with extra curry sauce to pommes and blue herbs, you can argue (or not), but also these pommes were just lukewarm, the blue herbs were not seasoned at all and the curry sauce was just grumped. We left the record completely. We then still tried to order an apple strudel as "replacement"... but on order the service told us the same (it was 45 minutes before the show started) that this probably never works because the kitchen is not so fast and totally overwhelmed anyway... uh – ok – yes, thank you! Now and then this lunch ended with the fact that we tried another 35 minutes to make a waiter/us aware so that we could pay the problem, but not only we had overwhelmed the employees and defitively too weak staff, was quick to notice, but the team at 200 guests who then all wanted to pay more or less at the same time was not set in a facility that lives up to 90% only by theatre visitors. The statement of the cellars was: “Yes, if 6 people sit on a table and everyone pays individually, then that also takes time.” In general, we found that the service staff was hardly looking for a look with the guests, so it was difficult to draw attention to themselves.... bad situation and certainly not nice for guests and employees. Unfortunately this was repeated – we were 2 or 2 before this visit. 3 times here food – and every time the same scenario that the service personnel were underused and clearly overwhelmed. We're not coming back! Next time we plan 30 minutes more time before the performance and eat on the way at feet or directly at feet and then go to the Festspielhaus only at the beginning of the event!
super nice wetin that remains friendly despite difficult times. have enjoyed the wonderful evening at the sea and wish the new team a lot of success so that the beer industry and the playhouse can catch us and keep the outside guests for a long time. the place is just brilliant and we love it!
