Winus - Reservar uma mesa

I was on a wine discovery trip in the region and searching the net for places to visit with a good choice of wines by the glass, and this one came up as being recommended by a famous english wine writer, in fact his wine bar of the year. I was not able to access their winelist online but still set off to find it. In summary-a major disappointment. Very limited choice of wines by glass and considering this is 1 of the best regions of Germany for dry rieslings the quality of selection was poor, with almost all small winemakers unheard of. Bottles were expensive, and again a disappointing selection, especially compared to the Kommerzienrat I went to the nite before. Service was slow and unfriendly, not a smile from the 1 waitress serving at least 6 tables, even though there were 2 other staff messing around out the back. After 20 minutes I went inside from the terrace and ordered a glass, it was not chilled and served in a very cheap glass. By this time I'd had enough so I cannot comment on the food. I really would like to know how this bar ranks as 1 of the best in Germany.

Have been here a few times with my wife, we have always received friendly and knowledgeable service from the waitress and although I am a bit of a peasent when it comes to Wine, my wife has always been pleased with the recommendation.The menu is very limited (it's a wine bar, not a restaurant) the food has been really good and seasonal, this time we had dishes with Pfefferling mushrooms which were both really nicely presented and tasted good.Seating is limited and it is popular, my only concern is that because there is just one guy in the Kitchen, when it's very busy you have to be patient. This has happened just once in around half a dozen visits.

the winus is a wonderful bar in a great atmosphere with charm, character and hospitality. flair and cordiality are crippled with exquisite weeping. always liked. must have seen in the new city!

beautiful ambiente under the guidance of a competent chefin. there is a large sort of wine from close to and far and a small card with delicious snacks to accompany the weine.
