Winstub Arnold - Reservar uma mesa

The largest and loudest of the hotels and restaurants in Itterswiller.We chose to eat there one evening, as we wanted to see if it was as good as it looked.The first thing you notice is the Disneyesque charm it has, which is a touch over the top. Then you will find that because it is busy with groups and coach parties, it's noisy! So romantic meals a deux are out of the questions!And then there's the food ...... And there is lots of it! Predominantly traditionally of the area, the servings are somewhat larger than one expects! However, the quality does don't match the quantity and apart from the Black Pudding Sausages I had, most of it was less than tasty.Price wise it was far too expensive for what it was!I will put this one down to experience.

Faut s'arrêter: pour la cadre, pour la carte. des vins (prix trops sympa mais ne le dites pas, ils risquent de revoir les tarifs.) Et pour le personnel: très agréable notamment Baptiste: un jeune garçon gentil, drôle, aimable et un vrai pro pour les vins...This is a place one can go: because on the wine road bad experiences are not unusual...here you have good food, an amazing wine program with great prices (do not repeat it) and a fantastic staff ( also not usual in France:) nice people, friendly people and especially Baptise (ask for him:) a great young guy, very professional.

itterswiller is superb and the winstub room is pretty. the service is friendly and compelling, but given the weakening, slow. the kitchen seems a little disappointing: certainly, the presskopf is excellent and the marc sorbet is very good; but the sauerkraut seemed a bit soft and quite acidic, and my wife found the flamekueche too creamy, not crispy enough, not tasteful enough... ; The muscat was rather fruity. Too bad!

You can have your lunch with nice view. There is also lovely big barrel which is service station. Menu is very good and meals very delicious. Small restaurant but very recommended.If you are following the Alsace wine route itterswiller is almost in between Strasbourg and Colmar which is good for lunch.

I have made many visits to Restaurant Arnold and this was just as good as ever. Staff were accommodating and someone spoke pretty good English.
