I called into the butcher at 2:38 pm and a young lady answered the phone I asked if they had a 2-3 bone prime rib in stock. She said hold on and she would need to check. A minute later a gentleman answers and asks why I am calling. I asked him if they had any 2-3 bone prime rib in stock. He said yes. I then asked if I needed to reserve one. He said no that they had a lot and would not run out. I told him I would be in later today. I then walked to the butcher about a half mile away. My wife and I arrived there at 3:58 pm and it looked like they were getting ready to close shop because they had nothing in the case. I asked the man behind the counter for a 2-3 bone prime rib and he asked if I already ordered one. I told him no, but that I had called earlier and was told they had plenty. He then left for about 5-10 mins and came back and said they had no bone in prime rib and only had a boneless rib roast. I'm not sure why the first person lied to me, but you have lost business. I should have read their other reviews and believed them about the lying to customers and shady business practices. It's not hard to tell the truth.

We absolutely LOVE this place!!! They have the best quality meat and the owners and employees are so incredibly helpful. We buy our meat from them exclusively and were feeding our dog their raw blend for about a year. I'm so disappointed to learn that they've discontinued the raw dog food program due to a few disgruntled customers. Our dog absolutely thrived on the food and it's such a bummer that they've discontinued it. I rarely write reviews on Google but wanted to take some time to come on here and praise Wheat Ridge Poultry and Meats for everything they do. We will continue to support them by purchasing our meat from here and hope that they decide to bring back the dog food program!!

Love this place. Reasonably priced meats, comparable to Soopers but much better quality. CO beef! The last 3-years I've ordered my Thanksgiving turkey from them. They start taking orders in mid-October, so best to get your order in before they are gone. Its fresh, never frozen and you pick them up a few days before Thanksgiving. The flavor is always juicy delicious. My guests compliment on it every year.

If you are trying to eat local and responsibly raised meat, this is the spot! Their prices are more than fair (comparable to Soopers) for the noticeably greater quality. The owners and employees are helpful. They have all kinds of beef cuts, chicken breast, tons of different marinaded bacon, bit of local produce depending on the day, ect.

My parents used to shop here when I was young. Life took hold and for a ton of reasons, we stopped. I got married and moved but we started coming and I’ll never get meat from any other place now. The difference is noticeable! I’ll recommend this place every time.
