Waldhüs Bodmen

Our party of 3 were a bit hesitant to walk the 10 minutes from town to Waldhues Bodmen but the view, the service and the food was absolutely worth the effort. The lamb was outstanding and the platte (a selection of different meats) were excellently prepared. The Rioja Reserve wine a fantastic compliment. Our waitress was well trained, knew her wine and gave us outstanding service. The intimite Harley Davidson bar for dad and 'rabit room' for the kids adjoining the restaurant were fun to see. Deffinitely a 'must visit' when in Saas Fee.

The short (~1 km?) walk to get there and back was very enjoyable (although one can get a shuttle if preferred.) The farm animals in a room attached to the restaurant (rabbits and guinea pigs) and outside (llama?) offered a bit of amusement for our young son. The menu options were great including one delicious main course served in a steaming black pot. We went there twice, once on each visit to Saas Fee, and it was very busy both times yet customer service was still great. A very nice, unique dining experience.

The food here was excellent. The menu specialises in game, which was mostly venison cooked various ways. The restaurant itself has a wonderful ambience and the walk along the edge of the forest on a snow-covered path with frozen waterfalls along the way was just magical.

This restaurant is a short walk from the village. We like to visit for coffee and strudel or a gluhwein. The staff are very welcoming and it has a playroom for young children, plus a variety of animals (rabbits, guinea pigs, llamas and a camel.)

This is most beautiful restaurant in Saas Fee...Made for family...Kids have a great time with animals...Service ist perfekt with Piere....And meals are served with love. A recommended chopped chicken and lamm with Portwein ...
