Waldhorn am Schloss

we (4 couples) were eating in the forest horn on a Saturday evening. the restaurant brings with its internet presence and its ambiente and its menu the impression of being something special. the evening began very promising. friendly reception, nice covered table. 5 people chose the three-course menu "travel through the kitchen", 3 people put their menu individually together from the map. after a quarter of an hour our friend was informed that the chosen appetizer (homemade quiche) was unfortunately out - as an alternative the already selected lead was offered. the staff worked even though we had already overwhelmed a little before 19:00. then the suppe - the cellar fasste the teller only with serviette - should probably awaken the impression these are hot. in fact, they were completely cold and the suppe lukewarm in it. to the note to the waiter incl. drop at one of our friends was reacted with unrestrained. at the beginning, at least the tellers of the individual-order were warm. not at the menu. the rust roast should be medium and was fried. the size of the portion in view of the price significantly too small. the flavored breast of weideochsen was fibrous and tough, the carrot vegetables tasteless and the kartoffel gratin looked at. the wine journey ordered by a person to the menu was forgotten. at the dessert our with the fancy appetizer had pulled the same off. also the woodhorncheesecake was no longer available. the alleged bourbon vanilla eis to the pumpkin cream bride tarte was tasteless and does not include vanilla guaranteed. The whole thing was garnished with a nut-fat pampe with bitter finish. the cleansing of the use of the shurr lasted like actually everything in this local eternality. of professionalism in service and in the kitchen no trace. but since one has realized that has come to us a certain annoying, there was at the end a spade in the house for compensation. from the half our group classified as inconspicuous. we paid 100 € per couple. positiw: the drinks were in order. conclusion: price/performance is not at all proportionate!

to start with the positive, the service was very good, especially nice and accommodating. that it was, unfortunately, also already, the ambiente looks nice and appealing, would fit to upscale kitchen. on a Thursday evening almost empty, only three tables occupied, that already gave us thought. that was unfortunately a catastrophe. the suppe came warmed up from the microwave. main dishes completely tasteless, with huge amounts of qualitatiw bad supplements. an attempt was worth it, we took a long time to consider whether we gave the nice operation a feedback, but then decided against it. she has done a good job and we had the feeling that she has a sense of the performance and quality of the kitchen and wanted to compensate the overall result about the service services. we will not visit the restaurant anymore and may not recommend it

But we must admit it and not gourmettempel, but that can never afford it.We were completely disappointed and have already demanded the bill during the main course.Drunks were as you can expect.Now in ludwigsburg the is agitated, the operators or the operators would have given up the object. that clearly harms the food gassing nation, country.

the waldhorn at the castle is a noble and very beautiful restaurant where we felt comfortable. the food (from spargel to swirl roasted roast to creme brulée and sorbet) was excellent and the price-performance ratio is right here. the service was very friendly, overall a great restaurant in beautiful ambiente. is suitable not only for a beautiful evening, but also for any form of solemnity. the position towards the castle naturally suggests a high-time celebration. we will be coming back
