Villa Lacus - Reservar uma mesa

This Restaurant is probably off season in Winter - the first time my husband and I visited was for lunch in the summer which was quite good and nice with the lake view. Two more tries in Fall/Winter were disappointing. Once, the kitchen had closed early so we had to go elsewhere. Last Friday we arrived at 19:30 and were seated right away but our server was distracted and exchanged a Prosecco for an Aperol Spritz. No problem if the food had been good but the salad Lacus with 'grilled' shrimps tasted bland - more like a few boiled shrimp on an enormous tower of Arugula. My husband's 'Odenwälder Schnitzel ' was a very small portion of what tasted like a pre- package freezer product dressed up with a few lettuce leaves. The wine choice was also disappointing. Not up to par with other local offerings.

This restaurant lies, as the name implies, at a small lake. We were seated overlooking the water, which was nice. Troubling is the start of the visit, as parking is not easy. Staff is friendly, beer is great (but that is Germany), but the taste of the food is not that good, everything tastes the same. The prices are avage to high, and gor vegetarians there is a moderate choice of dishes. Will try something else in the area next time.

A pleasant evening, the food was good although a little pricey. It was very busy but the service was good and the staff very pleasant. As others have written, it would be nicer to sit out side with a lakeside view but for that you will need to make a reservation to be certain of getting a table.

We had a delightful lunch beside the lake -- a bountiful salad and a delicious gyro. Service was prompt and attentive. Everything tasted fresh, Terrific tatziki. In the heat of the 2015 summer the tree-shaded dining area was perfect/

Enjoyed eating there for 4 nights because of the ease of staying at the hotel. Varied menu and lovely food. Maybe expensive but certainly within expense allowance for work.
