After having had a good experience dining in the hotel's restaurant last year, but the service back then was rather marginal, we thought we'd give the restaurant a second chance, also because of the many other good reviews. To anticipate the result: We left after 15 minutes of waiting and trying to contact the staff. And before the hotel answers again that there can be waiting times at peak times: No, it wasn't very busy, instead the two waiters only looked after the hotel guests, who had arrived a few minutes after us, but for that but the ordered drinks were already on the table before we left after waiting 10 minutes to at least ask for the food and drink menu. We were handed the cards at the counter, service at the table: none. We used the 15 minute wait to reserve a table at another restaurant. In any case, we felt like second-class guests in the Viktoria's restaurant, perhaps also because, unlike the other guests, we had children with us?! Service: 1
On our way back from Croatia we stopped at the Hotel Victoria for a few more days. We were upgraded to the family suite. The rooms are large and have their own small sauna. The small blemishes on the walls could be corrected and the red, thin curtains on the windows (room was on the ground floor by the pool) could be improved by opaque, thicker curtains. The parents ' bed was very high and the mattresses were much too soft for our taste. The dinner was very good and the waiter in the dining room was commendable (we had food as part of the half board). Small wishes for the children were of course implemented. The breakfast was sobering. Here we are already more used to 3 star hotels. Dishes and glasses were badly washed. We didn 't use the pools and can 't comment on them. A hotel of the extra class! Everything perfect! The rooms are very nice, big and clean. The food is outstanding. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. Huge buffet and very good coffee. The service and friendliness is more than excellent. Great pools, saunas and infrared cabins. Sometimes even in the rooms. Huge bathroom, large shower and large bath. The Berg-Romantik-Suite is a special highlight. 100% recommended. Rooms: Everything new, clean and big. High quality equipment. Furnished with love. Food drinks: Large portions, freshly prepared and best quality. Rich wine offer. Noteworthy details: The owners are great hosts!!!
