Before such a joke cookie comes to the idea of stating this place: The Viba Nougat Experience World is not to be confused with the production site , Online Shop and the headquarters of the candy manufacturer Viba Sweets GmbH. These are separate places! No one has access to the production site and the company headquarters. Online trading is also handled by here. Who wants to rate this is under Viba Sweets GmbH. Just a few meters away, a glass palace was built 7 years ago in the form of a sprout of the Viba Nougat Experience World with restaurant café and beer garden, with Viba Shop, a show confiserie and a teaching kitchen for visitors, as well as an interactive exhibition that informs about the raw materials, the manufacturing process and company history. Apparently, as I would like to answer my question, Golocal is not able to restore the place and review. Also here my review of 2013: Today we have made a trip to the greatest splendour in the world and literally have been through it. In front of the gates of the charming semi-concrete town of Schmalkalden you will find this architectural jewel, whose shape reminds you of a splendour. The interior is also partially postmodern. After we have about 10 minutes of film about the production of Nougat, which allowed us to lead the water together into the mouth, we went to the first floor, which we could enter through a modern barrier system through our tickets for 3 € per. The exhibition on the upper floor to be visited not only offers a view of a show production, but also at various stations to the heart content, e.g. on the Nougat Fountain or on the roasted and raw hazelnuts and almonds that are processed in the adjacent production building. A nice idea is also the photo greetings that can be sent by e-mail and be it to our own address, which we have tried in addition to delicious nougat. Learn the history of the company that has its roots in the Schmalkalden Café Viebahn with its own candy production in 1893. Here, nougat paste is not processed as in other plants, but is made from high-quality hazelnuts, which are even roasted themselves, the basic mass and from this again a delicious nougat, which has such a delicate melt that seeks the same. If you wish and are interested, you can participate in a paid guided tour or in one of the seminars, for example for the production of confectionery. Since we had planned a visit to Schloss Wilhelmsburg later, we did not do this for reasons of time. The exhibition remains above the sale where one of the confectioners was able to look at the hands again, while Nougat tasted and covered us with various delicacies. The prices for Viba Nougaterzegnisse are high, but the quality is worth every cent. I would find a nice train of administration if the entry price would be calculated from a certain value to a purchase. Finally, we drank coffee in the connected restaurant and enjoyed Nougat classic cakes and apple lime cuts. Both tasted fantastically delicious and the little cake is visually so attractive that it is actually too bad for consumption. The cleanliness of the rooms, which is already very sterile, was characterized by the exhibition about the sanitary rooms and the numerous friendly staff, which ensures a very pleasant atmosphere. You feel very welcome here as a guest. We felt very comfortable and like to come back to a visit to the restaurant. The Viba business in the pedestrian zone Hersfelder is driven more frequently. If you do not have a shop nearby, find it in the online shop. Also at Norma we have already bought a bag with Nougat Minis. (This is how the Nougat world became aware of us. I also forgive 7 (i.e. seven out of 5 stars). With the pictures that allow you to walk the water in your mouth, I will torture you later! Update 2017: Recently I surprised my daughter and her girlfriend who visited the Viba Nougat Experience World in Schmalkalden on weekends. The two were as enthusiastic as we were at our first visit and called through the tastings that were prepared here and there in the interactive experience. Then it fell saturated by Nougat to easily meet a small, fine selection in the shop and not let the mountains wander into the shopping basket. After tasting, 100 g of the loose chocolates were added to your shopping cart. But then we didn't let ourselves pamper with ice cream, cakes and coffee in the café. Here we were served very polite and friendly by a waiter. The hot dishes past us or the salad plate looked great. I'll remember for the next visit. In the 7th year of the Viba Nougat Experience World, it remains at 7 out of 5 stars.

With a trip to the small, very beautiful town of Schmalkalden and his castle Wilhelmsburg we made a visit to the Viba-Nougat-Erlebnis-Welt. Anyone who likes nougat for sweet nasty is at his expense and taste for small samples. In the shop the selection is huge. I missed inexpensive items that were unable to act for “small complaints”. Otherwise there is something for every Nougat lover. The history of the company is a bit too short for the films to lead. Viba should be more visible and heard. In some cases there were more general film content about Thuringia, of course with many interesting tips and information. Well done, but I don't expect this to happen in the Viba world. The museum is too small and can still be built. Fantastic then the Nougattorte in the coffee shop. During the tour, whether in the shop, restaurant, cafe, museum, there were many very friendly staff who was speech and answer. For children there is a large outdoor playground and free parking for cars and buses. The signs for the Viba world are excellent. Like the many excellent Viba Nougat candy.

We visited the oldest Nougat production of Thuringia. For over 100 years, this company has been producing delicious, handmade chocolates and truffles in the upper price range. After the tour of the house we visited the Geniusesser Restaurant, which also looks very noble. At the entrance there is an exclusively dressed figure. You can order coffee here with sweet cakes or hearty dishes. You can also sit on the sun terrace with attached playground. Here too, prices are in the higher range. At the end of the day, there is also a purchase in the in-house factory sale.

A successful combination of restaurant/café/shop and museum can be found in Schmalkalden in the Viba Nougat Experience World. The Nougat world is always worth a visit, be it to go to food, make a trip with the family to finally see how Nougat is made at all or to buy gifts for the loved ones at home quickly. You always find something to leave the Nougat world completely happy after that. In beautiful weather it is also sufficient to visit the complex to rest on benches or to observe the children on their playground.
