I had friends from Japan to visit and wanted them to experience afternoon tea in a beautiful and historic environment. The veranda at Sheraton Moana was the perfect location, and none of us were disappointed! The last time I had afternoon tea here was about 10 years ago. It was as wonderful as I remember. All of us had the Moana Classic Tea, the $69 per person and included 5 savory items, 5 sweet items, your choice of tea, and pineapple Sorpetto. Our finger sandwiches were Kona Lobster BLT, Kahuku Corn Croissant, Ginger Chicken Salad, Egg Salad and smoked salmon with ikura. All were delicious, but I think my favorites were egg salad and smoked salmon. Our sweet bites contain Blueberry Orange Skorones with lilikoi curd mascarpone cream, haupia roll cake (so soft and fluffy!, pineapple mousse (so perfect Bouncy with a crispy crust, honeyfloncier and strawberry Guava macarons. It would be hard to choose a favorite, they were all conceivable! The mango pineapple was refreshingly sweet and tart. The plates, cups and saucers had a nice pattern and the entire table setting looked elegant! You can’t beat the ambience: the sight and sound of the waves that crash on the beach, a gentle breeze on the veranda, the elegance of the Moana Surfrider, makes it only for an extremely pleasant and unforgettable experience! The next time you have a Hankering for afternoon tea in a quiet and beautiful environment, complete with excellent service and delicious food, please visit the veranda in the Sheraton Moana. You will make beautiful memories to appreciate the rest of your life.
