I had not been to Truluck 's in a long time. My wife was out of town, so I decided to stop in for dinner on my own on a Monday evening. I 'm sort of sorry I did. I sat at a high table in the bar. There was a piano player/singer with a mic. He was good but was TOO LOUD for the nearly empty room. There was a full menu available. I ordered a wedge salad, which was good. Then 2 large crab claws a la carte (at $18. each which were half-heartedly cracked and fairly tasteless with a very mealy consistency. (It seemed as if they had been frozen at some point after being cooked!? I should have trusted my instincts, but I was still hungry so I ordered a lump crab cake. It had a 'so-so ' amount of crab, but it came swimming in a dill-tarter sauce which made it soggy. (Also, I don 't like tarter sauce and would have prefered cocktail sauce, if they would have warned me. The wine selection by the glass was ample but pricey ... I had 2 glasses of Chablis. Overall, it was a very disappointing dinner at over $120.00 for one person sitting in the bar.
