Trattoria Bar Celentano

There were 10 of us, business colleagues from the FIBO Trade Show coming from Australia, USA, Denmark and The Netherlands. By a happy accident we booked a table at this restaurant instead of another with a similar sounding name but more upmarket. Were we happy about the mistake? - you bet! What a great find this place is for 5 day fly in/fly out trade show visitors to go to. The restaurant never emptied while we were there on a Friday night so it's very popular with the locals. The food, pizza/pasta and the meat and fish dishes were of a high standard and a low cost (that is to say a fair price). They had a fantastic red wine from Veneto that our US host and wine connoisseur rated - 4 bottles later we really loved it! Sometimes the best things happen when you make a mistake over a name. We will be back next year for more of the same and we won't forget to bring cash as they don't take cards.

Neighborhood restaurant with real Italian food. One of the closest places you will find in Germany to a family-run trattoria. The pasta dishes are excellent, in particular the day's special. The pizzas are good too. The house wine drinks easy as does the kölsch. They are often packed but they will always try to get you a table, either inside or on the non-assuming but pleasant terrace. They show all the major football matches but that won't get on the way of a good meal. Anthony Bourdain visited for his Cologne episode of Parts Unknown, and that should tell you something.

Lovely time here at Bar Trattoria Celentano. We headed there because of the serie A match (they show all the matches of the italian league) and found a great italian place in Cologne. The dishes were all fresh and huge portion to make sure to fill you up, delicious! It's a family run business, all the people working there are great and welcoming! Nice spot in cologne to spend a nice evening. Highly suggested.

Amazing place, very traditional. Authentic italian cuisine, straight from Sicily. Great antipasti, good beer, excellent pizza. I was in Cologne for five days and visited Celentano more than once!

The food is great the personal are very friendly! What do we need more? :) Its every time full of people, and this is only the sign of quality!
