Tournesol is a French bistro in LIC. Words cannot describe how incredible the experience was tonight. Greeting: the waiter is incredibly friendly. From the moment we came in, we knew we'd take care of it. Cocktails: The bar is well filled and the cocktail menu is petit, but packs a stamp. You have your standard French cocktails, which are cheap. Menu: The menu is not as extensive, but embodies the spirit of French cuisine. There are standard menu items as well as daily specialties worthy of drool. You start with a smoker of olives and of course French Baguettes and delicious European butter. We had Cod Croquettes, Duck Liver Pate, Endive Salad. The croquettes were surrounded by delicious mangoes and cucumbers. Light and fresh, not fried or broken. The Duck Liver was not too rich and was paired with a fig jam. A perfect blend of economical and sweet. The final salad was perfectly dressed and the roquefort cheese was mild and tasty. For Entrees we had served the hake with fresh vegetables. The summer influence is strong - with fresh corn, gazpacho and asparagus. The Duck Breast with honey and Celeriac puree was to die. The breast was perfectly cooked and the accompanying sauce increased the dish. I can't expect to come back and try everything else on this menu.

Small and intimate French restaurant with delicious food. Friendly, attentive staff and great service. We come here the most time for breakfast brunch and the food is always consistently delicious, fresh, clean and only at the point. Dinner is also great, so next time we have to try more of the French dishes. Very recommended if you are looking for a traditional French bistro in the neighborhood.

This is my place when I'm ever close. The service is not one. The French beer is also cold and the beer glass. The food is old-fashioned French and it is a wonderful place to spend some time. Children are welcome and they are disabled. The food is plentiful and no matter how busy they are, they will take care of you. When you visit, let her know I said hi. Chief Eddie Santiago/Actor.

It’s soooo delicious!! Low-key restaurant with really great food quality. Pricing is also fair considering French cuisine. Staff was super nice and explained every dish very clearly. Highly recommended and will def come back for special occasions.
