The Woodpecker Pub

The quality is average, but it's a nice change to find a pub chain that offers more than just the typical vegan options. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of choices and the separate vegan/vegetarian menu. It's great to see that "vegan" doesn't just mean a falafel burger at this place!

I had lunch with friends and we enjoyed the Steak and Ale pie, although it was a bit too pastry-heavy for my liking. We also shared the Baked Camembert, which was delicious. However, I was disappointed that several of my preferred real ale options were not available.

Went to Woodpecker after quite an absence reading the reviews, was a bit unsure now BUT we found it absolutely fine. The staff were friendly helpful. Tables set well clean everywhere. Food was great. Lovely lunch Woodpecker, thank you.

This pub is fantastic with a variety of tasty menu options. The cauliflower bites, lasagna, and apfelkuchen were all delicious. Definitely recommend trying the Moving Mountains burger on the next visit!

We met friends for dinner, meal was lovely and cooked well. Disappointed that Captain Morgan Spiced rum has been removed from the pub because we drink this brand. Jason could be a bit less moody.
