Booked a table at this pub second Saturday weekend out of lockdown. Was looking forward to a nice drink with my 6 friends in the new pub garden. Turned up at 7.30 booking time. Waited at the entrance for 15 minutes whilst being constantly ignored...by all staff members and surrounded by another group waiting to be seated in a very small entrance, not very good social distancing. Eventually I complained to a staff member and they decided it might be a good idea to take us to our table this was now 8:00. Walked into the garden and could not believe how busy it was. It was packed to the rafters. Couldn’t really see much social distancing. Many tables where up and mixing with other tables. The walk way was blocked by rowdy drunks dancing, and found it hard to get to our table at the back of the garden. Due to it being very busy it then took around 20 minutes to get someone to take our order. And another 10-15 minutes to get our drinks to us. Now that we had a beer we could try to block out the chaos around us and try to enjoy being with our friends. After a while I needed the toilet and had to try and get through the garden squeezing past drunk tables spilled out into the walk ways. The toilet was full of drunk idiots blatantly doing drugs. This was very intimidating and shocking. This was not the best pub experience after lockdown. I felt the pub was badly organised very over booked considering social distancing guidelines, and possibly under staffed. Will not ever return to this pub. Does not care about customer service and has a bad atmosphere.
