There is a lovely little walk through the woods from Kirkby centre back round to Victoria Road and this is the half way refreshment stop. I believe the place has changed ownership a few times and the quality of food and service has been mixed during those times. However my visit last week was my first under the current owners. The service was friendly and they had about 5 or 6 staff on which seemed a lot but i'm not complaining if they can afford it because it makes for a quicker and hopefully better service. We only had drinks on this occasion but they were served efficiently and all tasted as they should. There were a few people in having breakfasts which looked good but i'm not sure on the quality of products given I didn't eat any. If they are using good quality local meats then they should promote the fact because I wouldn't fancy eating value sausages for instance. I'll certainly be back and hope that the current owners can keep up high standards of service and quality food.

Went here today for an open Mic so we could sing some songs. Location was beautiful, out in the middle of no where. Down a windy road and there it was. It needs bigger signposts though as only the locals seem to know where it was maybe they want it this way. We had baked potato and chip cob. All I can say it was hot and tasty. The staff were very chatty and made you feel at ease. There is pinic tables outside should you wish to eat your own and enjoy the scenery but the cafe has a lovely choice of panninis, coffee and cakes not to be missed

Admittedly a special, but a rare find that somewhere serves vegan food that isn’t pretending to be meat. I had a pulled jackfruit which was made by one of the owners I was told and absolutely delicious. Surroundings peaceful and my raspberry gin and lemonade refreshing. Recommended.

Visit here most weekends with family and dog. I like to try new foods so after speaking to the very helpful staff to find out what it actually was thought I’d give it ago. Thoroughly enjoyed it very tasty and shows that vegan food doesn’t need to try and be a meat replacement.
