The Tea Room - Reservar uma mesa

Odered a toasty, sausage cheese; it came to £6.30 !! Pretty steep for a side-street non-descript cafe toasty, I thought. Even though it 's waitress service, I was asked to pay up front because, I was on an outside table , although, the two lads sitting next to me, didn 't pay up-front. When I queried this discrepancy, she went all squirmy and a little speachless. Much better value only 3 minutes walk in either direction. The food was average (for the price) as was the decor and the giggling teenagers (staff).

We were given a voucher for Christmas for a luxury cream tea. It was valued for 6 months which I thought was fair. We were in Lee so gave them a ring to see if we could go in. So glad we did as it was really good. Plenty of filling in the fresh bread sandwiches. The scone was fresh and tasty and the cake was delicious. We both had coffee and I’m fussy about coffee but it was very nice and it was hot which is not usually the case. So I would highly recommend it.

Since many years this is our favourite place to go to for afternoon tea. We love the cream tea there. Sandwiches are also very good. Staff is very friendly and helpful. And then afterwards a nice walk on the beach which is just opposite. For us a perfect day out :

This used to be an excellent place, tomatoe sauce on napkin was quite off putting as we unravelled the cutlery. No atmosphere, staff young and no smile, conversation. Uninviting place

Very nice tea rooms gorgeous cakes food is soooo good prices reasonable to eat a large meal then walk it off by the sea
