The Shamrock Irish Pub

I had some time before my train to Cologne, so I exited the train station, and I was conveniently surprised to find an Irish pub. Now, there is nothing wrong with the beer in Germany, but it is mostly pale lagers. I appreciate a little variety, so finally having a pint of Guinness was a nice treat. I didn 't have time to order food, but the barkeep spoke English well enough that I am certain he could have explained the menu to me (I don 't speak a word of German). I wouldn 't describe the food as Irish they had pizzas and other things like that. They advertise karaoke, and I can imagine this place is popular with the university students. Who knows? Maybe I 'll stop by if I am ever stuck at the train station again...

good atmosphere any night. monday night quiz is fun. beer is cheap and we went there twice in one week so thats saying something.
