The Sandwich Spot

This was my first experience with The Sandwich Spot, and it will be my last. The place is quaint and clean, and the service was prompt. The menu is clever, reminiscent of other local sandwich restaurants like Prima Deli or Lou?s. However, the quality of the service was terrible to say the least. I was ?greeted? by the young man at the counter with a blank stare, a long, sour face, and I perceived there to be the expectation to rattle off my order as if I?d been a patron for decades. I most definitely didn?t feel welcome then, and not welcomed to return. I felt as if I was inconveniencing them by giving them my business. As for my sandwich, it wasn?t bad, but it wasn?t good either.

The Sandwich Spot is truly a local gem. I ordered The Gobbler (turkey, cranberry, and cream cheese). It was a healthy thanksgiving sandwich. The sandwich portion was a nice size, price was reasonable, and the gentleman at the register was so upbeat and friendly! Definitely my new sandwich spot!

Absolutely. Joe makes some medium and delicious sandwiches. Just pulled into the neighborhood. He saw how we moved things over the street and made us two sandwiches on the house. What a great reception in the Bay Area for me and my wife after 20 years in the UK. Love it!

I love this place. It's just a few doors I live on. I can always get a sandwich on site... So the name sandwich spot... everyone's so nice. My little dog gets a piece of cheese when I bring him... Love it! Love it! Love it! Love it!

The service was great! That's why its receiving 3 stars the sandwiches are just not a hit for me. If you enjoy typical American style Togos quality then definitely try them out.
