The Riverside Kiosk

Visited before watching the Matlock illuminations, considering the fish bar was full there wasn’t a queue and we were served very efficiently. One lady took the order and another served the food. As soon as we had paid for the food, it was there waiting for us. The food was piping hot and fish batter was lovely and crisp. The chips were very well cooked too and not at all greasy. We put our own salt and vinegar on. One thing I could say was the large chips was only enough for 2 people. Maybe it could be a larger portion ? All in all a very pleasant visit. Absolutely incredible food as always great deals and excellent prices all round. Parking: Car park next to chippy. Reasonably priced just not attached to the chippy directly but next door. We ate there tonight while we were visiting the illuminations. We had to leave Matlock within 30 minutes as my partner and I had fish and chips, we both had food poisoning and seriously upset stomach’s. Avoid at all costs, their are serious issues here.
