The Rice - Reservar uma mesa

The Rice is a hidden gem located in otherwise an unremarkable plaza in Mission Viejo. Great unique Japanese food, and great service. Their outdoor dining is a little awkward, because this is mostly meant to be a whole in the wall type restaurant. I had the tuna donburi which had amazingly thick pieces of fatty tuna. My fellow diners had the gyoza bento box, the jidori chicken udon, and we shared an order of edamame. Everything was authentic, tasty and great value.

I ordered a Kaisen Bowl sashimi with rice. With very tiny portion of raw fishes. I end up finishing the rest of rice with Costco seaweed by the way they go very well. The sushi rice is tasty and well cooked. Every order comes with a miso soup but it was too salty. Ordered one bento and two bowls, total is $60 over priced.

OMG, I love this place, first time but I love the Curry Beef and the salad was amazing especially the sweet pickled onion which I haven't tried in a long time. The lady taking the order was always ready to answer all my questions and I will definitely go back here to try their other dishes.

Delicious food and excellent customer service can't really ask for more than that! Occasionally there's a little bit of a wait to get a table or to get takeout. Considering it's a small restaurant, completely understandable. Have yet to try something I didn't like.

Damn I wasn't expecting much but wow the food is good and service really good and utensils and the condiments and seared salmon bowl and wow I will be back during my next lunch break!!
