The Outpost American Tavern

When Outpost American Tavern participated in Maryland Vegan Restaurant Week in August 2019 I was thrilled to eat here, as in this part of Baltimore (Federal Hill) there are not many vegan options. Your restaurant weekly menu was sturdy and my dining room partner and I enjoyed some top notch offers (Mac and cheese, Thai curry, cauliflower steak). While I was there, I checked the standard menu and saw that there are enough offers for a veg options to qualify space on Happy Cow. I also spoke in detail with my server that confirmed that the waiting staff and the cook know about the vegan choice and are sensitive. I consider this a good option if you are with omni friends, it has a beautiful, upscalish neighborhood vibe so a good place to hang out with friends.

Brunch at outpost is whack! The Johnny Ryall is a huge portion with plenty of flavours to hit your sweet and savory cravings. The croque monsieur with the tomato bechamel was equally banging. To top it off, our server was super nice! (Only downside to our meal was that our table outside was really slanted, so gravity gave us a little bit of a challenge. Outpost is 10/10 a go-to for us any time of day! Edit: Stopped by for brunch again in lieu of other places that have insane wait times. The green steak eggs (see shtty pic is crazy flavourful. Outpost absolutely slaps! Edit2: The Tuesday Bubbles Buckets special is also 10/10 bang for the buck.

Walked by this place and decided to give a try. I was promptly greeted at the door and asked for a seat at the bar. They have a great selection of IPAs on tap and the food menu looked impressive. I went with the Mango Salmon and I gotta say this dish was wonderful. Cooper behind the bar is extremely friendly and very attentive. I'll most certainly be back for date night in the near future.

The waitress was very helpful Bit nothing on the menu is marked as vegetarian or vegan. You could make the web My Vegan by leaving the Mayo and serving it on salad instead of bread.

Loved everything we ordered. Strong iced coffee. Food was delicious. Would definitely come back!
