I would not recommend, following my mums earlier review we were a party of 5. 2 adults and 3 kids(ages 10yr, 2yr, 1yr). On arrival staff are polite and courteous. Went to the buffet with my 10yr and 2yr old to get food I told the staff serving the food that we had already paid for the buffet. The young girl serving us was very nice. She plated up my 10yr old food first and passed it over and started to plate mine when the owner (old, short blonde hair in a dress) barged passed me and my daughter to grab the plate of food that was for my daughter, shouted at the girl serving us and said you have put too much food on this plate and used the wrong plate and started taking the food off the plate infront of us and put it back into the serving dishes once she had taken almost half the food off the plate she almost threw the plate back down on the counter and walked off not one apology was given by this woman, however the young girl serving apologised many times. When we got back to the table my 10yr old was in tears over this, partly due to fact my daughter asked for the chicken but was told she couldnt have chicken because the chicken was for adults only there was no signs to inform customers of this which was very misleading. Mum has already left a review and the reply she got was inadequate! We 're not local to Leicester and therefore unaware of ANY information about live music. Perhaps for future reference have large notice at entry point for non locals to be made aware! Mum 's comment about the 'landlady ' was because the person in question behaved as though she was queen bee. Regardless if she was wasn 't landlady her attitude needs overhauling. Just saying from a customer perspective. What 's the saying? The customer is always right . Did anyone come to table to ask if all was OK, only 1 person came to table and that was young lady who collected our rather full looking plates of inedible food bearing in mind this is OUR honest opinion. For the record, mum 's dinner was actually hot in comparison to mine and the children 's meals. As for the reply to mum about not her review being rubbish and not warranting a reply you did!! Why didn 't we ask to speak to a manager, as already commented we all had headaches due to insufferable noise levels and distressed children. We wanted to get the hell away as fast as is humanly possible hence the review!!! Your reviews.. not ALL are positive. Every customer will have their own perspective of what is and isn 't acceptable and a good venue will accept that their venue is not going to be acceptable to all customers. The purpose of a review, negative or positive, is to enlighten future customers. We had read the reviews which is why we visited. Had we read a review like mum 's, we would have known straight away this would not be an appropriate place for us as customers. As for your comment about one very nice gentleman in the party woah... hold your horses lady!!!!! Our party consisted of 2 mothers and 3 girls. NO MEN IN OUR PARTY!!!!!!!!!! The car park, perhaps you don 't care about your patrons opinions, perhaps your regular patrons are inconsiderate imbeciles. Personally, we would never purposefully block another vehicle in a car park. It is simply something a civilised person would never contemplate doing because they wouldn 't want to be on the receiving end of such an imbecile. Attached is a screen shot of mums reviews and reply which I can not find. So one can only assume has been deleted.
We have been here many times, for work doo, leaving doos, pre theatre food. However, this is the first time we have ever been for the carvery today. Food was fantastic, all cooked to perfection. I had the pork and hubby had the beef. We left feeling stuffed. They were extremely busy today and we had to wait for around 20 30mins but we didn’t mind and the carvery was worth the wait. As ever very friendly staff and owners, nothing is ever too much trouble. Thankyou :
Came here for the first time recently and would definitely return and recommend to others. Great menu with lots of veggie options. Delicious food at a good price and really friendly service. All bar staff were really helpful with allergies/special requests etc and helped find a container to take some beer home for an ill relative. Thank you!
