Marx Brothers Cafe

Our group came here for dinner one night while we were visiting Anchorage based on a friend's recommendation. I must say I'm surprised this place doesn't have more reviews, because our experience was exceptional! We had reservations and were seated andserved right away. We told our waiter we were in a hurry to catch a flight for which they were very accommodating. We loved theinterior decor including all the pictures of the owners and articles about the restaurant. One of the owners even came over andintroduced himself and chatted with our table for a while he was extremely friendly and hospitable! Highly recommend gettingthe table side caesar salad, we all agreed it was the best caesar salad we ever had! What a fun experience to watch them make itfrom scratch right at your table (dressing included)! The main courses were great as well and the owner even offered someexcellent wine pairing recommendations. Wish we would have had enough time to indulge in dessert. Definitely a must try ifyou're looking for some upscale Italian in Anchorage!

Couldn't be happier with this seemingly hidden gem. Been here for most of a decade and just found out this cute historic house is a gourmet restaurant. Awesome dinner for a price. Appetizer x2, entree x2, a bottle of wine, and a shared dessert for $200,and it was well worth it for a special night out. The rockfish and venison were incredible. The Caesar salad was the best we'veever had and was made tableside (it's a signature of theirs). The wait staff were welcoming and informative. They were therewhen we needed them and the presentation was picture perfect. Parking was a breeze for us on a Saturday night of a three-dayweekend even though it's downtown. Highly recommended.

This was a special dinner to surprise a friend and the Marx Bros Cafe did not disappoint! The food was exceptional and the WINE LIST WAS GREAT!! I would not recommend for a romantic night out as the tables are close together and its kinda loud. Theatmosphere is friendly! This is a beautiful place to take friends and family. I saw a family with two very well behaved kidsand the staff treated everyone so well. Our server was just the best! I really liked his input on the different types of wineand he was just so knowledgeable. Oh also we ordered the Caesar Salad and they make it right in front of you. It was so good! Lots of garlic if you like that!

We arrived a few minutes before the time of our reservation and were welcomed and promptly taken to our table. We had the Caesar salad which is prepared table side in the traditional style. For main courses we had the locally sourced halibut and rockfish.Dessert was a warm berry tart with butter pecan ice cream. Service throughout was impeccable.

Props to the chef!!! The food was out of this world, I cannot say enough good things. I have never enjoyed a more delicious meal in my life. I highly recommend!!!
