The Mad Hatter's Kitchen

Had a lovely Sunday dinner. Both my husband and I are vegetarian I know in France, what are we thinking.. Lol.. and they were very accommodating in adapting their Sunday lunch for us. The starters had a variety of vegetarian options but they also adapted one of the chicken dishes to a veggie version for me as I fancied this particular starter. We had a pichet of rose wine and that was lovely too.. The staff, who I presume were the owners, made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely come back here again and would highly recommend this establishment.

If you love sunday lunches then come to the mad hatters if you love relaxed atmospheres then come to the mad hatters. We ate here on Friday night and were back for sunday lunch today, Charlotte makes everything from scratch including pastry for the pies we had on Friday night. Today was a full roast with a jug of gravy which I would happily have in a bowl as a meal its own. If you live here as we do then then come to the mad hatters if you visiting then come to the mad hatters

Yesterday we visited for a lunch. No face masks worn by waiting staff. Wait of one hour before desserts were served for which we had to remind them. Hair in one of the desserts. Toilet door left open by customers nearby. Three of us suffered stomach pains on way home. When establishment informed of these. Their response was extremely defensive, rude and unprofessional. Would not recommend. Go to McDonald's instead (as we were told in their response). Cheaper and more hygienic.

I have three vegetarians staying with me this Christmas, so I was really looking forward to my ‘turkey dinner’ here today. It did not disappoint delicious starter of salmon cod fish cakes, followed by turkey, with cranberry sauce, roast carrots parsnip, wonderful roast potatoes, brussel sprouts, swede mash, bacon wrapped chipolatas and gravy. Dessert for me was the chef’s sticky toffee pudding. Great ambiance, friendly service we’ll be back.

So surprised to find such a cool hotel. Owners were fantastic, food was amazing, room was absolutely beautiful.
