Three of us ate here recently. We were running late for lunch and decided give it a go when we saw they had Thai food. We opted to sit in the dear little courtyard we found at the back of the pub. All the meals on the menu sounded good. A hard choice but two of us played safe and went for the (popular) Crispy Chicken in Batter. Daughter no 1 decided to try the Super Vegan Curry. Feeling greedy we also asked for 2 plates of Vegetable Tempura. The Crispy Chicken in Batter when it arrived was amazing, the goujons were literally piled high on our plates! They came with a portion of rice, salad and jug of sweet chilli sauce each. Daughter's bowl of Super Vegan Curry looked and smelt delicious and also came with rice. A small spoonful given to me to try proved it lived up to the name. The two plates full of veg Tempura with chilli dip and salad leaves was so light and tasty that we somehow managed to find room for it all, despite ordering too much. We left stuffed, but satisfied. We were happy to have found this gem, serving such good Thai food that will definitely be back to try out other dishes on the menu. The staff were friendly and efficient, and there's also a Thai restaurant upstairs in the pub, so plenty of room.

My four friends and I decided to meet up here for a school reunion lunch, as some of us hadn't met up for years. It was by pure chance that we picked the Junction, and what a find! This place is a real Gem, and excellent value for money. The staff are very friendly, lovely people and so helpful. They made sure that we didn't over order, or duplicate anything, that was in the sharing platter, that was again in our main course. I haven't had such delicious Thai food, in a very long while. The choices are excellent, and the portions are big. I just wished it was closer to where I live, near Bromley, I would be there all the time. The bar staff are equally fabulous people, and the beverage choices are excellent. I can't praise this place highly enough. Thank you.

Quite apart from the excellent Thai restaurant here, the Junction is a friendly town centre boozer with a lot to offer. Right in the centre of the market (Thurs/Fri/Sat), the pub offers well kept beer and has a small beer garden unique for the town. Three TV screens show Sky Sports etc., throughout the day. Football, cricket and rugby mostly, and unavailable elsewhere. Worth a visit as unlike the Wetherspoons nearby the bar staff will say hello. And the bus and train stations are very close.

As always we enjoyed an excellent meal here in January. Fabulous food and great service. Always a welcome return to Sai’s kitchen in the junction.
