The Griffin Inn At Eccleston

We went to the griffin for my birthday meal which i might add everytime we have been there before was amazing but tonight well i dont know where to start! I had steak which i always do the mushroom was greasy, vine tomatoes where basically had lack of oxygen my shallot was half dead... fish batter was very wet n could taste grease... chips do not get me started on them first batch was burnt when they changed them the 2nd batch was raw... nicest part of the meal was onion rings.... our waiter didnt catch his name was a lovely young lad who tried his best even sung happy birthday to me when he brought my cake out which we purchased elsewhere. Overall very disappointing visit... go as far as saying we wont be returning shame really as thats where i got proposed too.....

My family and friends visited The Griffin on a Friday evening, and it turned out to be an great night. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the lovely Izzy, whose warmth and hospitality set the tone for the entire evening. Izzy's exceptional service truly made our night. She went above and beyond to ensure that nothing was too much trouble. Her friendly and welcoming demeanor added a special touch to our night. The food was great and to top it all off, the entertainment was a brilliant and made the night even more enjoyable. Overall, our visit to The Griffin Inn was fantastic, thanks in no small part to Izzy's exceptional service.

Always enjoyed the food here a few years ago, came tonight after booking table online, restaurant was shut, got taken to a side room table. Had to order beer from bar, had to get up and ask for menu's, staff very young and not attentive. Food was mixed, starters OK, my second course (Sirloin steak) was not nice, poor quality chewy steak, my brother who ordered beef wellington got something that was not a proper beef wellington, his wife had chicken kebab which was nice. We kept having to try find staff every time we needed more drinks, overall, it was dissappointing, won't be eating here again

My partner and I visited the Griffin on a Thursday evening and upon entering we were met by Head Chef Haikel and his colleague Tiziano. We were so impressed by the warm friendly welcome and we were treated to the most amazing food. We chose the beef Wellington and was blown away by the standard of food and presentation from Haikel and the service throughout from Tiziano. Thank you for your professional friendly service, we will be returning soon.

Me, my partner and baby came to the Griffin Inn for dinner. We booked last minute but the staff were very accommodating. The venue is stunning, the staff were really lovely and the food was gorgeous. One of the best meals I have had in a while. I had the prawns to start and chicken skewers for main course. Portions were generous. Will definitely return xxx
