The Grain Cafe - Reservar uma mesa

I thought I had found all the great vegan restaurants in LA, but like some of you have said before, what a hidden gem!! Picked up my niece at the Amtrak station yesterday, and went straight to The Grain Café after reading the reviews and finding it on HappyCow. It was early so we had breakfast although there is everything and anything you can think of on the menu. Breakfast, lunch and dinner with such an amazing and large menu. Plus they had a second menu that looks new for a special kind of Mexican food. They have American, Mexican and pretty much everything. And wow the service is amazing, the people there are so kind and nice it just has such good energy. And the food was phenomenal! My niece is not vegan, although she always eats vegan with me. But her plate was empty within 10 minutes. we loved everything! I had the chicken and mushroom crepe, my niece had tofu scramble chorizo and her girlfriend had the pancake breakfast with bacon Tempe, scrambled tofu and hashbrowns. We also got a delicious fruit, chocolate and whipped cream crêpe to end the delicious breakfast. We will definitely be back probably this week just to try lunch or dinner! Amen to the Grain café.

I had the most delicious New Year’s Day meal here! And they were so accommodating as I only eat whole plant foods that are gluten-free and oil-free. I started w/a create your own fresh pressed juice w/kale, spinach, carrot and pineapple. Then a spring roll app w/cucumber, mango, red bell pepper, avocado, carrots wrapped in nori. Main dish was a make your own bowl w/quinoa, mixed veggies, kale, falafel sea veggies tossed in lemon juice. Taking home a gf brownie for a friend as I don’t do baked goods. Service was amazing and my waiter was kind.

I was starving at 9pm and found this place a mile from where I was, at that time. Fortunately, they serve breakfast all day until close. So, I ordered The Muffin—a breakfast sandwich that really tasted great! It hit that late night craving.

I'd eat here every day if I could! Amazing service, food is from this world. I love it so much. Can't wait to visit L.A again to eat there
