You need to come here in no hurry to order or receive food, the service is slow, but the food is delicious. I highly recommend getting the Mazze Plate, the cashew chevre cheeze is amazing! The Crispy v-chik'n patty is from far my favorite thing on the menu! The house-made ketchup is also delicious. Went out our way to visit The Dancing Dog and it was amazing! First of all, my kids are very picky and they were accommodating to the extreme. At one point they overheard my daughter crying about her smoothie being to lemony and they replaced it with a another smoothie, no lemon, and without prompting. My mom was hesitant going to an all-vegan place but liked her tacos and dessert. The tacos were amazing, and we also tried the Ruben and Pesto Grilled Cheeze and they were all awesome. For us, the Pesto Grilled Cheeze was the clear winner and the desserts (especially oatmeal cream pie) and coffee were a treat. Also a comfy little lounge is upstairs to recline and enjoy the space.

It is a cozy vegan cuisine with good food and fast service. The person at the counter on 1-7-22, Friday night was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and efficient. We ordered an app: Poppers in a delicious Balsamico reduction that reminded me of a good caramel or chocolate sauce, but with a balsamic profile. My wife had the patty of the boss (a crispy chickpea and spice mix), my son ordered the Pesto grilled cheese with frits, and I got the Philly cheese steak (made of Seitan), drop with a vegan cheese sauce. We all had the tomato bisque that was thick, rich, piping hot and delicious! Moderate estimated, we felt that it was an excellent value for the experience. We will return!

As someone who has long lived in the province of Champaign, I can say that this is in my two best restaurants of all time. Unfortunately, now that I'm gone to college, I don't get the vegan food I need anymore. Therefore, this 5-star restaurant in my books should really consider opening a different location. I will leave you with the wise words of a great philosopher Ella, the vegans know how to cook.

Divided a Friday night Burrito with my sister (a meat eater) and we both were impressed how delicious the food was. The Lavender White cake I brought home to dessert was just as tasty. So wonderful to find well-made, gourmet vegan food in downtown Urbana.
