visits here for a Saturday 3-course lunch. atmosphere was great with excellent service and even better eating. the set menu is very cheap, like the drinks options. service is friendly and unobtrusive. a thing I would recommend is to have a wider choice of coffee and tea options after the meal, but this is a small point. overall it was great and was happy to visit here again.

An unprepossessing outside belies an excellent lunch experience inside! Interesting menu, lots of good choice when the food appeared it was even better than we expected. Lovely couple running this excellent restaurant, very good price £11.90 for 2 course lunch try it, you won't be disappointed, we'll certainly be back.

always good, high quality local ingredients cooked to perfection and excellent value. also attentive and knowledgeable service. I have food allergies and like any good restaurant that prepares and cooks it, so it is never a problem. I don't feel annoying and trust that they take allergies seriously.

we had a birthday meal for my partner with her family. there we were 16 and eating was absolutely fabulous. service was also really good. all the food came together and was hot. well made to tha team at the carriage and thanks for a nice evening. we will definitely return.

Food was delicious all homemade and freshly cooked ,plenty of it too. Don't do puds at the moment but was very full so not a problem.
