The Boat House - Reservar uma mesa

Very welcoming and accommodating reception from the bar, willingness to accommodate awkward dietary requirements that aren 't allergy related. Visited at five pm on an overcast and chilly summers day. It was relatively quiet but the surroundings and views in the tranquil setting along the river overlooking the weir and lock drew us away from the town. The parking was ample (weather affecting trade may have been on our side). A small menu selection of well chosen options not generic wholesale offerings and varied choice of flavour and side dishes. Not a large chain menu with pages upon pages of options but enough of a range of choices well selected to make choosing a battle. The varied simple menu led to a choice of the venison burger or lamb shank for myself and lasagna or pulled pork with eastern salad for my partner............ That 's where I get complicated as I have a pre diabetic diet of basically low carb no sugar. The bar staff were absolutely understanding, not a single huff, sigh or eye roll and the kitchen specially adapted to my requirements. Evidence and final proof was in the meal served completely tailor made perfectly adapted to suit. My partner folded and went with lasagna. We work in the industry and are fully aware of supplier ping ding lasagna is a very easy and cheap meal option most places stock so we rarely opt for it. On this occasion the lasagna was clearly not a brakes or bidfoods microwave option and was served piping hot topped with various cheeses and a quality Béchamel sauce. Quick, efficient and attentive service in a comfortable and clean dining area. Layout was designed to enhance the setting outside over looking the lock and docks on the Avon without overcrowding tables and sacrificing elbow room . Overall the combination of setting, choices and meal served was a perfect experience not of fine dining but correctly priced quality food in an amazing setting

My friend booked table for four. Got there. Seated up. Menu was smaller than last time. Didn’t realise it was under new management. Ordered our meals. Meals came. Burgers were cold. Chicken dish was cold in middle. Had to send it all back. Burgers came back hot,however chips on the plate were cold. You’d of thought they would heat up chips too. It was heated up in microwave. Nothing Cooked from fresh it seemed. Chips maybe. Had pudding. Best part. That could have done with being hotter. Customer service was good. They did try to correct things. Did take price of a burger off the bill. However very disappointed. Don’t think we will be going back. Sorry guys. You’ll have to try harder if you wanna make it success. Before you had job to get in there. Goof luck for future.

We were out after enjoying the Medieval Festival (side note thats worth a trip, especially for free entry! The Boat House was welcoming, friendly and worth the money. You will spend around £10 a head, but I promise you 'll leave full! The chef knows what 'portions ' should be and makes it worth the price for quality AND quantity! The drink range is, as expected, a fair range soft options for non drinking, hot and cold, and a range for folk with a thirst, including a (surprisingly light! Special house ale which I enjoyed! 10/10, would recommend and will be returning next time I 'm in Tewkesbury! would absolutely recommend

Went to the pub on a quiet afternoon so we didn’t know what to expect, but the guy running the bar was very friendly and helpful and the food was reasonably priced and tasty. We had a good selection between us; steak, chicken burger and pizza (The cheesey chips were particularly good) It’s in a great location just on the outskirts of the town. They are dog friendly, which is a must for us, so we will definitely go back soon.

While looking for a place to eat, we came across the boat house during a busy time in tewkesbury. We were given a warm welcome and the food and drinks were delicious and plentiful. Would highly recommend!
