we had lunch in the pub very busy around 1330. we had taken up so fast. beautiful selection of beer and ales for selection. drinks arrived, and the food order was taken over. service very friendly and efficient. eat all saw beautiful, very large meat suet pudding full of delicious meat with maische and veg. large fish and chips and a large part of sampi and chips. everything was nice, but the common thema was great, so I would be very hungry. many foods will be wasted. we were so full that there was no room for a desert. therefore the pub trade loses and additional money. we will be back, but the portion size is a bit to put.

It was New Year’s Day, and we were looking for a pitstop on a long walk. The place was packed – and any table that wasn’t occupied had a ‘Reserved’ note. Despite that, the friendly staff went out of their way to find us somewhere to enjoy a drink. We were told we could have a table by the bar for half-an-hour, which was perfect for us. The drinks, snacks and coffees we had were great – and the service was cheerful and helpful, even though they were all rushed off their feet. We really appreciated it all, and we’ll definitely be back.

Seriously delicious eating, massive portions. I pictured the gravitation starter. followed by the salmon. excellent. unfortunately no place for dessert.

The best roast I have ever had, the portion sizes look small but fill you up and are of the best quality The meals are bought out very quickly

Fantastic 3 course Xmas Lunch, excellent starters followed by great Turkey main course and a divine cheesecake to finish
