Tgb The Good Burger Pl. Portillo

Definitely worth a visit if you want a GOOD burger! Really tasty food for a cheap price. We arrived just after 6pm on a Thursday evening and the burgers were 2 for the price of one, which worked out at just €2 each!! Even at the full price of €4 each would still be worth it. We ordered the bbq burger and it was amazing! The bun was really soft and melted in your mouth, and the burger was cooked perfectly and not greasy st all! Restaurant was fairly quiet when we went so service was really quick. Can’t fault at all. It’s not far from McDonalds so I would say don’t bother with them and give the good burger a try, you’ll get so much more for your money!

We went as a family group of eight to this fast food restaurant. We have had some hilariously bad service in Salamancan bars and restaurants. However, when we had just began eating and noticed they were one plate of fries short we asked for it. The waitress then asked us to bring everything we ordered back (between 8 people was a lot) to the bar ourselves so that she could check we were not lying. I was going to ask if she wanted me to regurgitate what I'd eaten to check that too, but out of fear that she would insist, I didn't. To be fair the burgers were good, although the fries were soggy and a little cold.

This place is very central and is convenient as it offers a quick service at a very competitive price. Rather than spend an hour or two eating a long lunch we took this option so that we could get a good meal quickly and then continue to explore the city. The place was very modern, spacious and clean, although the toilets could have done with a clean. The food itself was good and tasty and did its job well. Lots of local people called in to pick up there lunch which is always a good sign.

During the four weeks we stayed in Salamanca to study Spanish, we ate at this place at least once a week. Burgers and fries were really good and they offered unlimited soda and iced tea. Prices were very reasonable, only €7 a person for a good burger, fries and a drink. Americans longing for typical food from home should love this place!
