Terrace Grill At The Harbor Inn

We had an absolutely great lobster bake dinner here overlooking the harbor, and watched an amazing sunset! The lobster bake dinner included clam chowder (or a salad), over a dozen steamed mussels and clams, a large lobster, potatoes, baked asparagus, corn on the cob, lots of butter, and a piece of local blueberry pie for dessert. At $50, it?s the absolute BEST deal for a lobster bake with a view in Bar Harbor. The seafood was absolutely fresh out of the water, and delicious! This is a popular place for a sunset dinner, and they don?t take reservations, so try to arrive a little early and maybe expect to wait a little on weekends or at their peak times. The menu is great, with many options that will suit others that aren?t too excited about seafood. They had a great selection of tap or bottled beer with many local brews, and a good wine and drinks list. I only rated it 4 stars because the service was slow, and they seemed understaffed. We had a very thoughtful and friendly waitress, but she just had too many tables. We would definitely recommend this place in Bar Harbor, and will most definitely go here for dinner again!

Great location! During the waiting there were several people who were on the run, how fabulous their lunch was. I'm happy for her haha. The service was a little slow and not particularly friendly... but it's 2022. I forgot what Chardonnay I ordered, but it was delicious. Since it was my first full day in Maine, I ordered the shell chowder. Based on my shell of the Chowder, I cannot recommend it. The taste was missing. My husband had the shrimp Caesar salad and it was absolutely delicious. The taste and the amount of dressing was perfect. The Romaine was fresh and crisp. The shrimps were sooo delicious and the part was very good.

It was a busy Monday after lunch but our server, Kim, was just awesome! We were impressed with her service despite the busy afternoon. The food did take a while but it was understandable. The lobster roll was very generous from someone coming from the midwest. The short rib was phenomenal, very flavorful but the portion was smaller than anticipated. Our favorite part was the dessert. We definitely had to ask Kim since there were too many choices, she told us to try her personal fave Berry trifle and the popular open faced ice cream. She did not disappoint, they were all so good, especially the trifle, a must try for everyone!

This place deserves more than 5 stars! Beautiful view, exquisite dishes, drinks we? I'm here. Nice to see a diverse staff, everyone was super friendly. We have the most breath with view and have to see that the whale watching boat turned off from the doc.

Perfectly perfect. Join us with our Pup Scout! The lobster? was phenomenal, shells and mussels and chowder was great, Blueberry pie was delicious? Thanks Bruce and Staci Hunter ~Texas visitors
