Teleclub De Tao

We went there following the recommendation of locals that we met earlier in the day, asking for the best place for local cuisine . Enough to say that surprised cannot express how we felt eating at Teleclub de Tao. The place is simple, but it reminded us of our childhood, with a very familial atmosphere. Everybody seems to be welcome here, and you instantly feel transported back to the times when your grandmother made you your favorite food when you were a kid. We had three plates of Cabra (a local goat stew with potatoes in a DELICIOUS sauce), and a plate of Arroz con mariscos (rice in a seafood sauce). The plates are very big but you 'll want to finish them and still leave a place for dessert : a wonderful Tarta de la Abuela, with a biscuit and vanilla and chocolate pudding. Everything was perfect, and we were so glad we discovered this place, which was perfect to eat local food. The 5 star rating is MORE THAN DESERVED (and if I could get a 6 star, I would do it).

I had the seafood/ocotpus salad, which was a true disappointment. The salad and tomatoes had been lying for too long in the vinegar, so they were marinated. The seafood itself was straight out of a jar. My partner had fried calamari, with a side of potatoes and mojo. Nothing special but it was better than my dish.

We stopped here for lunch and really enjoyed it. It was recommended by our Airbnb host, and you can tell that it's really a locals spot. The food was good and the service was friendly, despite our lack of Spanish. We kind of wish we could have gone back!

We went on a Sunday late lunch and it was packed luckily we had booked. Food was delicious and served amazingly quickly in spite of the numbers of diners. Generous portions and good prices.So friendly staff nothing too much trouble.

We came upon this wonderful restaurant by chance- what a find! Warm and welcoming staff and amazing food. Grandma’s cake is a must! We will be returning.
