Teikoku - Reservar uma mesa

Food was bland and not quite mediocre. Menu items looked good but execution moderate at best. Across the board, from a dry piece of sushi to tempura with soft and mushy veges inside to rice noodles piled on top of each other so the dish was more like a bowl of lumpy pasta. Wait staff also mediocre. Spilled bottle of Pellegrino, which is no big deal, it was the response. Lots of sorry, no napkins, no offer of new bottle, water in a main dish. We let it go since we were already disappointed. Two final comments. First seated outdoors next to a lovely birch...with glue strips wrapped around it to catch the dreaded Japanese lantern fly, so we would have been treated to watching them writhing around feet away. Asked to move. Took too long. Next couple they tried seating there? Same result. Nice evening out with my wife, pretty lame dining experience

The food and drinks were phenomenal. Everything was perfectly seasoned, cooked, and plated beautifully. Service however was pretty bad. It’s was not busy enough to warrant how slow service was. We were seated near the bar and when we ordered drinks we could see the bartender put the drinks up and watch them sit there while we watched the server simply walk around the restaurant not doing anything. Dessert was pretty decent except for the fact that they were out of choices. The chocolate fondue, the soufflé, and the fried ice cream. I settled for the banana bread pudding but I waited a very long time for it and when I took a bite the bottom was warm but the top was cold and the ice cream that was on a side dish was half melted. The only thing that came quickly was the check. Very disappointed in my experience

A lovely evening! As always, the food was delicious and the service was excellent. Have never had a bad meal at Teikoku and was happy to be back
