Sushi Bar Kilala

This sushi place may not look much but trust me, Chef Nakune serves and prepares the freshest sushi that melts in your mouth. Its usually busy for takeout during weekday lunch and only about 5 tables. Its just chef and his wife and they do not serve a lot of hot items but the sushi is so fresh and always consistent. You won't regret coming here. We have been coming here for many many years and never disappointed.

This hole in the wall mom and pop restaurant has the best sushi I've eaten outside of Japan. The selection is fresh and the prices inexpensive. Make sure your order the wild salmon, spot prawn (amaebi), tuna belly (toro), eel and omelette roll (unatama). I would eat here every day if I could afford to live in Vancouver.

We've tried most of the surrounding sushi joints and this place hands down is the freshest and most authentic . I would recommend it in a heartbeat if you're looking for sushi takeout in North burnaby. The restaurant itself is small, so this is more a take out or quick eats type of place.
