I was truly truly impressed with the speed and service of the takeout here. The guy prepping takeout had so much hustle, and had my to go order ready in less time than the online ordering projected, even when I ordered two separate orders because I had forgotten something. It's an incredibly well run shop, with great front and back communication that allows them to work so fast. First, my tiramisu it was excellent. It was already prepped and ready for a last minute add to my order. My ceaser salad was perfectly fine. But the minestrone soup wasn't minestrone. It was a cabbage, zucchini, broth veggie soup that reminded me of the cabbage soup diet recipe. Although I slurped it all up because the broth was that good. The reality is, their food tastes no different than prepacked Italian food you buy in the grocery store frozen section which might explain how they had it ready so fast. My creamy tortellini with ham and mushrooms was yummy, and my meat sauce for my spaghetti was good and tasted like my favorite jarred sauce. But the meatballs were ultra salty and tasted like preservatives, as was my husband's chicken for his chicken parmesan. We couldn't say enough good things as we picked it up super quickly, and their combo was a great deal but once we ate everything, we decided we could make better Italian food ourselves at home. That said, if you are in a huge hurry or never cook yourself, then I do recommend these guys run a tight ship with great prices.

Strings is a great option when you 're craving simple pasta dishes. Its unassuming location is in a strip mall in Livermore with plenty of parking. Interior is simple and modern with a bar area, large TV 's and a good amount of seating-it 's not cavernous but not small intimate either. The menu has a variety of pasta dishes as well as a build your own plate option. Each entree comes with soup or salad, as well as nice warm focaccia bread. They have zoodles on the menu for anyone watching carbs and I thought about it. However, it was a chilly day and I was craving some type of comfort carbs. I ordered the penne with marinara and veggies and opted for the side salad. The salad was very generously sized and not just mixed greens like other places might do. This had tomatoes, carrots, sunflower seeds and cranberries-it could have been a light meal all on its own. My pasta was excellent-well cooked and packed full of colorful veggies like peppers, broccoli and zucchini. Plenty of leftovers for dinner the next day. My boyfriend got the bruschetta chicken and minestrone soup which he enjoyed quite a bit. Service was well paced and friendly-we felt well attended to. It 's not fancy Italian but simple, well done fare for a good price. I 'd be back next time I 've got a pasta craving.

Since shelter in place happened. I had to cancel my daughter and I trip to Vegas for her 21st birthday. So, I ordered here for my daughter's birthday since they offer small party tray. I'm glad I did! I am so surprised how the food turned out. The pasta sienna was cooked to perfection, and Chicken Alfredo. And I love love their bruschetta, tomato was fresh and tasty. Oh, and meatloaf too. I'm just amazed how everything I ordered tasted delicious. I can't wait to try other dishes. I highly recommend this for some Italian food lovers like me. Excellent, authentic Italian food. A big thanks to the chef!!!

This is one of our favorite restaurants. The pasta is so good. We've tried many of their menu items through the years and were sorry to hear they are closing. They offered a great meal at reasonable prices. Thanks for so many amazing meals.

They are Permanently close Even Though yelp still has an open and hours of operations that is incorrect they are permanently closed
