Even if the location of this hotel is ideal, we'd like to express the dissatisfaction with what we believe to be a dishonest practice we recently encountered. We checked in at 4:30 PM and inquired at the front desk about dining options. The front desk attendant assured us that the restaurant service would be available until 8:00 PM. We also asked about breakfast and received a similarly confident response. However, when we went to the restaurant at 7:00 PM, we were dismayed to find that the kitchen was closed due to renovations. While we understand the necessity of refurbishing the kitchen, we are frustrated that we were not clearly informed about this, which would have allowed us to make informed decisions. Adding to our disappointment, we discovered while paying for our reheated dinner (and only because we inquired that breakfast would be similarly limited. Had we not asked, we would have unknowingly paid for a subpar breakfast of merely two pieces of bread and coffee. Clear communication is essential, and this (intentional ? failure to inform guests about the limited services is unacceptable. Guests should be made aware of such disruptions at the time of booking or check-in so they can make appropriate arrangements.
