It is very convenient to go to this restaurant when you stay at Steigenberger Hotel. But honestly, we would expect a little more from a restaurant in such a hotel. The restaurant is not very cozy, much bright light. They also serve the people of the hotel with half board in the same restaurant, so on one side of the restaurant you will find the buffet. This gives a small chaotic atmosphere, as people are constantly walking around to take their food. Our food (from a-la-carte menu) was average, very salty and huge portions. We choose a bottle of wine that was not cheap, but quality could be better. If you stay at the hotel, you can go better in town (only a few minutes walk from the hotel) and visit a restaurant there.
We were on a site meeting in this beautiful city and the organizers had booked lunch at Cafe Bistro Figaro. We found ourselves in the interior and our individual orders were taken very quickly. It is, May I decided to go for white asparagus and cooked ham. What came was a plate with three asparagus... I assume that the kitchen works according to the principle that only light meals must be served at noon. In any case, the whole experience was rather inspiring and clinical. Surely not a place to hurry back...
It is so difficult to choose from the selection as everything is yummy. Sitting on the cobbled stone street, sipping a hot cup of cappuccino, biting into the warm beautifully flaky croissant or the baked cheesecake, enjoying the pleasant weather with your loved one is exactly what one dreams of and gets it here at Cafe Figaro of Steigenberger Hotel, Bad Neuenahr.
