Steakhaus ElGaucho

we were in the steakhaus el gaucho. the approach:is unproblematic, the restaurant itself shows parking on the other side of the road. this is quite pleasant.The restaurant is generally somewhat overhauled, although cozy but for us it wasn't very appealing.The food: we ordered a chicken soup, a grill plate and zanderfilet with asparagus.The suppe was super, self-made and really delicious. the meat on the grill plate was really perfect fried and also tasty, unfortunately a little cold all the way. my zanderfilet was a total flopp. you could eat it, but it was not worth 18€ (also with a spa). I had already wondered about the low price at the zander eh. (usually the price in the restaurant is 20-26€). I don't need to tell you. the service was also ok, but no longer in memory. Conclusion: we would not go to dinner again now, because we really didn't get out of the stool. it is also not grottenschlecht, so you should avoid this restaurant.

The name and the meat cuts on offer conjure up mouth watering flavors of real meat. Let's not confuse taste with the texture of the meat. The New York Strip I had had a nice texture but as you often find outside the USA, Argentina and Spain it was fairly tasteless. Just not good enough for the very high price for a 300 gm steak. We also ordered the tomato salad and provolone cheese as starters. We were served all the food, including the steak, at the same. Should not happen, a little amaturish. Better quality control on the flavor of the meat would definitely help to justify the high prices. Otherwise it's just not there. Disappointing.

in a cozy ambiente Essen...ELGaucho here you feed very well bourgeois to a very passable price performance ratio. the service is very good as well as eating and also the cozyness does not come too short.

after the other steak houses have significantly lowered their quality, the el gouche is first choice. the food was good and especially warm. the service is attentive and fast, what you want more.
