"Spice Temple is a very good restaurant that could be excellent with a few improvements. The service was poor and very inattentive, at one point we waited 25mins for a glass of wine. The food on the other hand was lovely, we thoroughly enjoyed all of the dishes we had, I'd definitely return to try some more. The menu is slightly over priced compared to similar restaurants that are just as good so if you are after value for money this probably isn't the best spot."

I was in Sydney overnight following a conference and my Sydney based son, suggested a meal at Spice Temple. I had eaten at Spice Temple in Melbourne so it seemed a good choice. Oh my goodness, my taste buds are still tingling...the food was delicious. It was fresh, spicy and so very tasty. I enjoyed the pairing of ingredients which was so original but worked so well. My favourites were the salt and pepper tofu and the chicken wings...just be careful of the dried chilli under the wings :) The servings were quite generous, which is not always the case these days. My 'dog' cocktail was also excellent; a little sour, which is the way I like cocktails. Congrats to the staff who were attentive and helpful with food choices.I cant wait to go back, although I may take a torch next time...the lights are very dim!

My husband and I were lucky enough to get a seat on a Saturday night without booking recently due to a cancellation. Although the food was nice there were a few annoyances. First being, a private group being seated in the side private dining areas were so loud that all patrons in the restaurant were constantly being interrupted by their noise. I would of thought that out of courtesy they could be told not to make such unnecessary loud noises causing constant disruptions. Secondly a dish from our entree was left to come out with the main and then lastly one of the desserts that we ordered was brought out incorrectly, so by the time the correct order was brought out I had finished my dessert. I think that for the price you pay one would expect the above not to happen.

Yes a combination of sexy and spiceySexy goes definitely to the decor of this restaurant - quite dark with lighting that focuses on the food. Carpeted so the noise is dampened to a point where you can have a conversation with your companions easily.Spicey is the compliment to the food that presented to the table with much colour. The food wasn't hot even though the dried chillies were abundant in some of the dishes. The service and hospitality was perfectThe piece de resistance to end the meal were the chocolate petite fours - totally out of this world

Dinner with a group of friends on Saturday night for birthday celebrations. Always good for their cocktails but even after quite a few years now, the food does not disappoint. Excellent appetisers, lamb pancakes, pork/fennel dumplings, prawn wontons. Complimentary pickled cabbage to keep the heat in check. A favourite crispy pork salad; steamed flathead, and beef with pepper. Delicious. Can't end the evening without the giant snickers inspired peanut/chocolate parfait. Not to mention a great wine list and excellent service!
