during a walk in this place, the naked yellow walls, the falling cabin cushions and the generic Nepalese decorations have challenged my expectations. but they don't let that happen. I quickly learned from the friendly staff, fast service and delicious food that the people here come for eating. we ordered mixed momos (damped dumplings) and veggie pakora (veggie fritters) to share, and for my main dish I ordered lamb thukpa (nudelsuppe). starting from the pakoras, this was by far the highlight of my meal. Baked to a crispy perfection, they held in the pool of delicious Chutney sauces, the above drizzled. the momos are a must if they never tried Nepalese eating before. from my visit to nepal some years back, I can confirm that this place does her momos right and does not skip to the filling. my favorite was the veggie momo. my main dish, the lamb thukpa, was a beautiful mix of noodles, finely spiced broth, delicate lamb and crispy vegetables, all in a huge bowl similar to vietnamese pho. along with all this great eating I ordered a mango leti (sweet mango yoghurt) Overall, this place serves great Nepalese cuisine, a kitchen similar to those of india (they are neighboring countries). So if they try to get a new ethnic cuisine outside the area of their common Asian, Indian, French or Mexican restaurants or, they just want to continue the aromen of nepal, this place is one must try!
