Shad - Reservar uma mesa

Tried this place on last night of our holiday in Herne. Place only had one other table in there when we arrived and the manager sat behind the bar on his phone and made a joke about how quiet they were, we were greeted by...a young lady who was very pleasant. All night the young staff ran around as it got busier and I never saw the manager do one thing apart from sit looking at his phone. In my opinion a good manager is greeting customers and also checking throughout the night that the customers are happy with everything. The food was below average , salty and very oily. We have a very good Indian restaurant in our home town and the manager is always around greeting people and getting to know them . I feel the Shad will not be around very long unless the manager changes his attitude and improves the food . The young staff were trying very hard but in my opinion need a better leader.

Cannot find any fault with the food, as it was delicious, however the service could be improved. We waited ages for our starters and main, as they seemed very busy in getting deliveries out. The restaurant wasn’t that busy with four other tables for a...Tuesday night. The young staff nice and polite but were forgetful on remembering what we ordered or replenishing cutlery. We ordered a stuffed onion naan bread but was served a keema naan. When we complained was promised what we ordered, but this never arrived.. they just took the price of the naan off of the bill.. I would of preferred the bread. I think I would order a take away but probably not sit in for dinner again.

Best Indian ever! All the meat was incredibly tender, flavours were mouthwatering ans the crispiest naan bread I’ve ever had with loads of butter and flavoursome garlic. I have never had it so good and will be returning often! I would highly recommend it to...anyone.

Second time we’ve been whilst on holiday in Kent. Amazing food and big portions! Service was great and very helpful with accommodating kids. Look forward to our next visit!

I received my take way from the shad The food was cold . The nan was burnt and the poppadoms was also burnt. I very disappointed
