Selfridges Champagne

I visited here a few weeks ago with friends having initially not been impressed with the service and food at the other Fumo in Birmingham. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I attended. I was seated to my table without fuss whilst I waited for my friends to arrive and I was introduced to Petr as our waiter. He was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and made several recommendations for us throughout that were all welcomed. When he finished his shift we were then looked after by his colleague (whose name I forgot to get) but he was just as helpful, professional and friendly. I was impressed with the customer service throughout and the food was 10/10 and I even complimented the manager on how impressed I was, given my previous bad experience at the other Fumo. As a result of the great food and good service, I decided to return today with my mother and I was not left disappointed. It was a welcomed surprise that Petr was our waiter again and he was assisted by Delva who was a young, very energetic, friendly, vibrant and extremely professional young lady a true credit to the younger generation. She was so refreshing to be around and her calming and friendly nature even meant when little mistakes were made, beyond her control, we all laughed about it and moved on. Again, Petr assisted with our menu and drink choices and even when I doubted his suggestions, he went above and beyond to ensure we were happy. And we truly were. The food was amazing as before and service was 10/10 and this is now one of my favourite places to go out and eat. Definitely worth going for good service, great food and a buzzing atmosphere.

Not sure what happened in regards to my order, but my partner drink and desert arrived promptly and look tasted delish. Mine unfortunately never arrived, and staff did not come to table to check, so by the time she had finished plate it was still a no show so asked for bill had to remind them they had not served me as they had billed for items. Paid and left, no apology was offered and it was not like the restaurant was busy. Not sure I would recommend, maybe there was a problem in the kitchen or staff shortage, but nobody was forthcoming with info. Hope you enjoy your day.

when they say that they eat something really amazing in the middle of a department store, does not really do this place justity. eating is fantastic and the personal was really something, polite, very well presented and so helpful. Make sure you order different dishes to really enjoy and enjoy the real experience, it is not a 1 dish per person gig lol. if they are in the opposite of bullring or environment, they must visit at least once - they will not regret it

on the top floor of selfridge’s with view over the bullring, but does not feel like eating in a department store. allergens are not shown on the menu, but waiting workers were worth knowing about gluten-free options.

great place to eat, a lot of dishes on the menu, fabulous service, would recommend definately a visit.
