Seiberts Classic Liquid Kitchen

Once in Advent we have to go to Cologne to the Christmas markets “must be”. It's not as much fun as it was years ago. We avoided the specialties because we like to sit for dinner and are warm. And the excursion served the “prisonment” (event when “gent” is on the program, there are other places we visit. We also saw the Chlodwigplatz, the new market and the Rudolfplatz. Slowly it became somewhat dark and so we went to the Friesenplatz via the Friesenwall to the Bar Seiberts; Finally, we had the impression that a beautiful cocktail could make a round finish to the Christmas markets. At the same time, we wanted to rest and think about the day and exchange it. Surroundings The bar has many high seats on the counter and beside armchairs, sofas and small tables. There's a conservatory back there. The light is kept quite cumbersome. You have to ring to get in. We have a table for three people. We gave up our wardrobe and some bags, and we recovered first. Then the extensive beverage card came. To see everything you need. But we decided to have three cocktails after a short consultation. Service The ladies and gentlemen are very friendly and attentive to all guests. There's a glass of nuts and crackers to get. Our homemade pineapple rum connects to Yuzu Sake and delicately pearly champagne. Add Edible Gold Powder Flowers. This mixture also told my daughter – she likes it when sweet and acid give a nice game. Xmas Gin Tonic (Christmas card The Christmas cocktail tasted completely different from home. We also use the Gin brands and Tonic Water varieties specifically. Here the spices like cinnamon, cloves etc. came to bear more strongly. Interesting – but also only in the Christmas season; otherwise we like more clear combinations – as in the Mediterranean direction. We were still thirsty, but after the long “marches” over the markets we did not want a second “strong” drink, just a little water. Value for money In one of the best bars in Germany we do not expect bargains. High quality ingredients are used and the preparation is excellent. Conclusion 4 – again happy – sometimes it must be Seiberts.
