See & Park Hotel Feldbach

I enjoyed a good and relaxed lunch on April 1st, the very start of the summer season. The location is unbeatable - directly by Lower Lake Constance, with scenic views on the lake and facing Germany. Convenient access by public transportation - a mere 10-minute-walk from Steckborn train station.The traditional house is superb, featuring a bright and airy dining room.Thumbs-up to Nadja and Noemi for the very friendly and attentive service. The menu is short, with focus on seasonal and regional produce. I opted for the three-course-menu "Feldbach", which proved a good choice.The salad with smoked trout was light and good - a perfect starter on a sunny day. As main course I had a generous fillet of beef. Delicious, the meat was very tender and perfectly grilled medium. I ended with a Dulce Leche pastry as dessert, sweet and tasty.A special mention to the local red wine "Steckborner Regent", which was excellent.Given the scenic location the bill is unsurprisingly on the upper scale: CHF97 for the whole lunch with wine and coffee. However, the food quality and great service are well worth it.

Wir haben dort am Mittag gegessen und wurden leider sehr enttäuscht. Wir warteten 45 Minuten auf das Essen, obwohl die Terrasse halbleer war. Das Essen selbst geschmackslos, die Pilzrahmsauce schmeckte nach Fertigsauce und das Gemüse schwarz gesprenkelt von der verbrannten Butter. Schade, trotz schöner Aussicht können wir das Restaurant nicht empfehlen.

The Restaurant and Hotel is located directly at the shores of lake constance. In summer you sit outside at the lakeside and enjoy your lunch, ice cream or dinner. The standard is rather high, but friendly. Even before the official seasons opening you are being served from their reduced menu.

Das Essen top, die Bedienung sehr gut,Ambiente angenehm, Zimmer ok/ zu heiss im Sommer, da es keine Klimaanlage gibt. Man muss die Fenster offen lassen und ist dem Lärm des öffentlichen Strandes die ganze Nacht ausgeliefert! Für Ruhesuchende nicht geeignet.

We were blessed with great weather so eating outside was a great option. The staff were very friendly and we ate a nice meal.
